Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon brown rice flour
  • tablespoon tapioca starch
  • cup dried fish powder
  • 2 tablespoon carrot powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried carrots optional
  • 2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon parsley
  • 1 teaspoon onion granules (or powder)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic granules (or powder)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon pink salt
  • a few strand of gluten free noodles/spaghetti broken into small pieces (optional)

Instructions

  • Place all of the ingredients (excluding the noodles, if you are using) into a spice or coffee grinder.
  • Mill into a smooth powdery consistency.
  • Store in a glass jar (add the noodles now) and use accordingly.

Notes

  • This mix makes a total of one cups worth.
  • The shelf life for this mix should be up to a year.
  • Dried fish powder is a key ingredient in the mix, you can purchase this from markets/supermarkets in a neighbourhood with a large population of African/Caribbean and/or Asians.
  • Alternatively, you can order dried fish (make sure it is for human consumption and NOT fish feed) or carrot powder on Amazon.
  • Make sure to store in a cool dark area, avoiding sunlight.
  • Label the jar so you can keep a watchful eye on the shelflife of the mix.
