Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon celery seed (2g) I now use this instead of celery salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper (2g)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder (2g)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (3g)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (2g)
  • ½ teaspoon coriander (0.05g)
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme (0.5g)
  • 1 teaspoon pink salt (6g)(optional)

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a coffee grinder and mill into a fine consistency.
  • Store the spice blend in a clear glass jar in a cool place for several months and use accordingly.

Notes

  • Double or triple the ingredients listed to make a big batch
  • Store the spice blend in a glass jar, preferably a spice jar that is labelled and in a cool, dry place i.e pantry so it doesn't clump together, away from sunlight.
  • Homemade spice blends have a long shelf life so can be stored for at least several months.
  • If adding salt be mindful of this when using the seasoning in recipes, adding salt is optional and a personal decision.
