    Mint Lime Drink

    This mint and lime infused drink is the perfect summer time, cool down detox beverage

    Cool down this summer with this thirst quenching Mint Lime drink. A simple beverage consisting of fresh limes with mint leaves. This is the perfect way to compliment any weightloss goals or to simply sip on fruit infused water

    Refreshing is the most appropriate word at this time. This is the type of fruit infused drink that is guaranteed to quench your thirst on a boiling hot day..

    You only need a few ingredients and less than 10 minutes to prepare this beverage from scratch.

    Ingredients you will need

    • Limes: Grab a few limes to infuse with the water.
    • Water: Look water is best especially on a hot summer's day
    • Sweetener of you choice: Agave, nectar dates etc... this is optional

    Mint lime drink is great for youth and beauty

    I would even go as far as rendering this drink a beauty drink, that helps to repair the skin.  Here's an interesting fact for you, this is a water soluble vitamin which means the body cannot store it.

    we need to obtain it from food. The body will utilise what it requires and expel the excess via urine

    Notes and Tips 

    • Adding any type of sweetener is an optional step, you don't have to if you don't want to.
    • Additional mint leaves and lime will fully enhance the fruit/mint flavour.
    • You DO NOT have to crush the ice in the blender. You are more than welcome to distribute the ice cubes into separate glasses.
    • Top up. Once the water has been drunk, feel free to top up the pitcher with more water and a squeeze of time

    Quench your thirst on a hot summers day with some Mint lime drink

    Ingredients

    • 4 cups of water
    • juice of 2 limes
    • a handful of ice cubes
    • 3 sprigs of mint leaves or
    • sweetener of your choice optional
    • Extra slices of lime

    Instructions

    • Place the slices of lime and sprigs of mint into a glass pitcher (jug)
    • Pour the lime juice, water and sweetener of your choice (if using) into your blender and pulse
    • Add the ice cubes and pulse for 10 seconds, you want the ice to crush not blend completely, just a few seconds are suffice to do so, depending on the speed of the blender
    • Transfer the ice water into the pitcher.
    • Serve immediately or for a deeper flavour leave to rest for up to 30 minutes then serve
