Jamaican sexy juice recipe - This dairy free delicious beverage is like a little secret jewel consisting of sweet fresh pineapple blended with condensed milk and nutmeg.

Jamaican sexy juice

If you're ever attended a Caribbean, more specifically Jamaican function you are guaranteed to find some Jamaican sexy juice aka pineapple punch on the menu.

You'll probably find yourself wondering about the remarkable taste of this fruity beverage.

This recipe is quite low key, yet simple to make - using four main ingredients.

The reason why I describe the recipe as being "low key" is due in part to being rather difficult to trace, it's virtually a well guarded secret and I'm about to share it with you guys.

Thankfully you can bring some island spice to your kitchen, although summer is officially over here in the UK.

If you're fortunate enough to reside in a hot tropical paradise then why not try this non alcoholic pineapple punch.

Where the name "Sexy Juice" actually derives from, nobody knows. Perhaps it's that sexy feeling which manifests itself or maybe it's a drink exclusive to sexy people?

Jamaican sexy juice

Whatever the case you're in for a big surprise with this one and let me detail more about the four stars of the show.

The original recipes calls for pineapple juice, usually the store bought kind which is made from concentrate, condensed milk made from cows milk, vanilla and nutmeg.

Although some people do add milk or other ad-ins such as alcohol.

Ingredients you need

Ingredients you need to make sexy juice
  • Pineapple - fresh pineapple in best, especially if it's ripe as it will be extremely juicy and naturally sweet.
  • Water - used only to break down the pineapple (no need to use if you are using pineapple juice or a juicer).
  • Nutmeg/vanilla - for flavour enhancement.
  • Vegan condensed milk - to sweeten the punch.

Recipe preparation

My recipe is a complete overhaul I used fresh pineapple, my Steps 1-6 making the punch

  • Cut the top and bottom of the pineapple and slice away the skin on the outside (remove the eye with a paring knife) to reveal the yellow flesh.
  • Cut the pineapple horizontally into slices and then chop into small chunks.
  • Pour the pineapple chunks and water into the blender and blitz until it's all broken down (this mixture will be frothy, this is normal).
  • Use a large strainer or cheesecloth to extract the juice (press down or squeeze firmly, depending on your chosen method)into a large bowl or a jug. At this point you can add more water (another cup) to extract more juice.
  • Add the nutmeg, vanilla and vegan condensed milk (and plant based milk, if you are using) to juice and sweeten to taste then stir..
  • Serve Immediately.

Juicer version

  • Cut the top and bottom of the pineapple and slice away the skin on the outside (remove the eye with a paring knife) to reveal the yellow flesh.
  • Cut the pineapple horizontally into slices and then chop into small chunks.
  • Slowly add the pineapple chunks, one after another into the chute (no water is necessary).
  • Once the juice is made, stir in the vanilla, nutmeg and vegan condensed milk and add plan based milk, if you're adding any.

Do I have to use fresh pineapple to make Jamaican sexy juice?

No, you don't have to cut up a pineapple to yield the same results. You can use freshly squeezed pineapple, a large carton of juice if you don't want to use the actual fruit

Is it normal to have froth on top of the juice?

Yes, especially if you use a powerful blender like a Vitamix, it's normal for some froth to form on top. Simply skim it off or stir it until it disappears with the condensed milk.

Notes and tips

  • The amount of sexy juice may vary, you might get more than 2 servings depending on how much water/plan based milk you used.
  • This is the recipe that you will need to make condensed coconut milk.
  • For best results, use fresh pineapple that is naturally sweet and ripe.
  • Use a spoon or a cheesecloth to extract all of the juice.
  • Don't throw away the pulp, use it in a smoothie
  • Any leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Hi Dee. You can get away with using a whole carton. It's about the equivalent of a fresh pineapple.

Is the condensed milk sweetened? I can only find sweetened but your recipe does not say sweetened.

Great recipe, thank you. I tried it, and was wondering is it normal to still have the nutmeg powder floating about on top after mixing it? Also, how do you get it frothy on top as mine did not turn out like that? Many thanks.

Hi Shaun. Yes, with most of my Caribbean recipes like peanut punch or sea moss, the spice will float on the top because there is no binder (emulsifier) like what is used in the storebrought kind. The frothy top is attributed to the speed of my blender. I use a vitamix which a very powerful blender. I literally blended the recipe and took a picture within minutes of making it.

As long as you are happy with the taste, I'm happy if you are 😉
